AIRPORT PYLONS Sankofa SingsAfrican art and artifacts from the 19th century are on display. Part of the City’s permanent collection, these items are a sampling from the opening exhibition at the City of Austin’s new George Washington Carver Museum & Cultural Center. Titled Sankofa Sings, these authentic items include a hand carved Bolo mask, cast bronze Bamileke Gongs, and intricate wood carvings. Pictured at right is Seated Male Figure with Beard.
On display through June 27, 2006.

Opening on tuesday 6 June between 6:00 and 9:00 pm DAVID NORDEN I was again not selected as a Bruneaf member in 2006, but due to the high demand of my readers you where able to see me is in Brussels in the rue Lebeau 27, it is the street going down from the Sablon. The theme this year will be statues and masks representing man. All showed objects where guaranteed 50 years old or more and created in a tribal context (certificate delivered on request).
